This was a photograph of my nephew and his family taken in Mason’s Island, Mystic Ct. I posted it as an example of some of my portrait work. I love photographing children and families in a casual setting.
My portrait sessions are priced by the time spent on the shoot. I charge $250/hour with a minimum of $300 total plus the cost (printing). I do not charge for time spent at my computer editing and resizing (which can be significant) and I do not charge exorbitant prices for prints, only my cost. This might be ignorant on my part, but I am not in favor of gouging the client with ridiculous printing prices. I do this because I love doing it and I want to share my photographs and to have it pay for itself. I also turn over all the images on a CD or DVD.
